After completing both the BBE and MECP course programmes, I was determined to work my way up the corporate ladder in a consultancy firm. However after careful consideration, I decided to turn down the job offer I had got in London and work full-time on a lifestyle business my wife and I had been running for a few years. WaterLily & Co is now working with Local Authorities & Universities creating bespoke training solutions to help Social Workers engage children & young people better. Since embarking on this journey, my efforts as Operations Director have yielded exponential results that would not have been possible had I not taken the leap of faith.

Nadia Sylvester

Graduated in Entrepreneurial Consultancy and Practice in 2019

The course gave me structure and guidance in doing things differently, such as how to formulate a written business plan and then implement with the help of academic theories and research. I learned that everyone has the capability to gain a degree, but to implement your ideas and find your inner strength; these are our ultimate personal challenges. Even though I didn’t feel wholly comfortable in academia, I managed somehow to overcome my doubts, butterflies in my stomach, and push through.
